Yet more on the twice inflation increase by Corby Borough
Council.
The article in Friday 28th February edition of the Evening Telegraph
included quotes from two members of the Corby
P U B L
I C
Wow
Pull the other one!!!!!!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Ordinary member of the public number 1
Brian Massie
"i'm happy with a 5% increase.........."
Mr Massie is a long time member of the Labour Party.
At every election Mr Massie can be seen with his little bag and walking
stick criss-crossing
the town delivering Labour election propaganda - basically a gopher!
Fit enough to walk the streets then, Brian -
how about getting a job.
Mr Massie is also a member of the council 'sweetheart' organization FORTAC.
This organization claims
to represent Corby people yet refuses to complain about anything
the council does
(perhaps because they get vast amounts of cash from CBC)
PS. Mr Massie is also a co-opted member sitting on CBC committees
----------------------------------------------------
Ordinary member of the public 2
David Harley
"...is encouraged to see more money for community groups"
Mr Harley again is a card carrying member of the Labour Party.
Interestingly, last May (2002) Mr Harley could be seen campaigning
for
the Labour Party in the Lodge Park council by-election.
Why you might ask?
Well, he did have to support his WIFE Della, who just happened to be standing
for the Labour Party.
PS. word is that Della and perhaps David will be standing for Labour in
this years Borough Council elections.
-----------------------------------------
Well, nice to see that the (un-named) Evening Telegraph reporter managed
to
ferret out some truly unbiased members of the public.
we wonder, did this reporter ask Rob Hearne to point out a few likely candidates
for interview!!!!!
Was it just lazy journalism?
Or perhaps, something else......................
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update
-----------------------------
Surprised or what?
Both Mr Massie
and
Mr Harley
are standing as Labour councillors
in the coming borough elections.....
'nuff said!
