Last September we had a Mayoral Referendum in Corby Borough.
The 'NO' campaign, led by Labour Council leader, Rob Hearne,
brought out their infamous illegal leaflet.
Amongst other things, they stated that the costs of having a Mayor,
elected BY the people of Corby, would be Half a Million pounds
(spread over 4 years - the term of office) and would mean
cuts in services....................
A figure they never substantiated.
NOW
what do we find?

LOOK at 'Corporate and Democratic Core'............................................
LOOK at the cost for 2002/3...........................................it
was £786,000
LOOK at the cost for 2003/4.................................it IS £1,341,000
THAT'S RIGHT
OVER
HALF A MILLION POUNDS
MORE
a massive
INCREASE
of
72%
ALL SPENT ON
ADMINISTRATION
LAST YEAR WE WERE CONNED
They knew this increase was in the pipeline
So, in four years this would be
OVER
TWO MILLION POUNDS
