A few days later a certain Mr Dominic Maguire, Liberal
Democrat candidate in the recent
borough elections, managed to have a letter published in
the Evening Telegraph giving his
own views on the performance, or lack of same, of Mr Rudd.
Suffice to say, Mr Maguire detailed the
FOUR critical reports on CBC
delivered by the
Audit Commission/District Auditor since Mr Rudd was appointed to his post
in 1998.
The response - a deafening silence from the ruling labour group.
No rebuttal - no defence - nothing in support of this 'stalwart' - serving
Corby.
In contrast, the ET then published a letter from Andrew Griffith, Tory spokesperson
for
Corby.
This letter was highly critical of Corby Labour MP - Mr Phil Hope.
On Wednesday 4th June a certain 'Willie Smith -Corby Council Leader' had
a letter published
in defence of the said Mr Hope.
(Is this the same 'William Smith' as before - see contents page for previous
story)
