Welcome to our Website
The Friends of Buile Hill Park are an independent
group of people who care about Buile Hill Park, Salford.
Through working in partnership with other local
community organisations and Salford City Council we encourage everyone who shares our aims to join us and
help restore Buile Hill Park to it's former glory. To
achieve this we believe that Buile Hill Park should once
again become a great place to visit for both local
people and those living further away.
Since forming in December 2001 we have hosted regular
family events within the park. These have included the
Santa's Letter Day Christmas Grotto and the Queens
Golden Jubilee Party in the Park. In addition in
partnership with Salford Allotments Association we have
helped to organise the Salford Show - a horticultural
extravaganza, funfair and family festival.
Whilst our events have been a major success we have
also acted as an important link between Salford City
Council, the managers of the park and the various
different groups of park users. Through this link we've
been able to suggest improvements and encourage the
restoration of our park. As we draw closer towards the
centenary of Buile Hill Park we look forward to
continuing to work in partnership with all of our
Friends and helping to attract the investment that our
park deserves.
To find your way around our website please use the
links to the left of this page. If any of them don't
work please let us know. Until 4 weeks ago we didn't
have a clue how to build a website and it's been a steep
learning curve ever since. We hope you enjoy our site.
If you find it useful please take the trouble to sign
