Since its launch in 1995 Gardiner Associates (GA) has
become the United Kingdom’s major provider of fire/arson investigation
training programmes.
From the outset our ethos has been that training in such
specialist fields should be delivered face to face by practitioners who
possess the intrinsic skills in the subject areas that they teach.
Over the years GA has assembled a multi-discipline team
of associates and others who are regarded both nationally and in some
cases internationally, as amongst the most highly experienced and
skilled in their disciplines. (See below - The Team)
GA has helped to pioneer the concept of inter-agency
training in the UK and has been consistent in advocating the team
approach and supporting the systematic methodology, which is now
recognised as best practice.
Over the years we have contributed to the design and
development of the UK National Occupational Standard, the tiered
response model and the application materials and elements for the
Council for the Registration of Forensic Practitioners (CRFP) fire-scene
examination discipline.
Representatives of the vast majority of UK fire and
police authorities, all of the forensic science service laboratories and
visitors from overseas have attended our various training events.
We are an Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) ‘Approved
Provider’ and our core programmes are CPD validated.
