Joyce Griffiths was
born in Aberarth (West Wales), in a small house with a river running very near
the door - thence to the nearby sea. She later moved for a brief period to
Buckinghamshire before returning to the South Wales coast. She now lives on the
Gower Peninsula, where the sights and the sounds of the sea continue to give her
inspiration for her work,
She has a
constant curiousity to learn and explore with new media - as well as to use
traditional methods - in her continuing and life-long passion for painting and
drawing.
Her paintings reflect her own humour, and
also convey a sympathetic sensitivity to and enchantment with her chosen
themes
