Champion Cricketers win promotion in the rain.
Hoghton Cricket Clubs First X1 have been crowned champions of the Moore & Smalley Palace Shield Division 2.
It is only the clubs second season in the competition, but promotion was wrapped up convincingly with three games to spare when the final match was abandoned in heavy rain on September 2nd.

GLCC Sportsmans Dinner to be held on 29th September 2006 at Leyland Civic Centre.
