Samuel Frostwick was born 2nd February 1807 & baptised at Stibbard on the 8th February, the son of Margaret Frostwick. She died when he was barely a month old & was buried on 5th March. It is difficult to determine how Samuel came to have the alias Guymer but possibly he was brought up by a Guymer family

From British Army Pension Records Caines Guymer, born Cambridge, enlisted age 19 years 4 months into the 3rd Bn Higland Light Infantry on 2nd April 1915, Regimental Number 4781. Address at that time 30a Munro Place, Caledonian Road, Wishaw, next of kin mother Mrs Hanley. Discharged as medically unfit due to stammering & incontinence of urine 5th July 1916 to 25 Pentland Place, Bridgetown, Glasgow

William Guymer born c1790. A William Gymer is born 1st March 1790 & baptised Hackford 4th March the son of Richard & Elizabeth (Parker)
From Norfolk Marriage Index marries Mary Fox at Colkirk 14th December 1816
William died 8th March 1846 aged 56 & buried Little Ryburgh in the same grave as his wife. Both of Stibbard
Mary died 26th February 1846 aged 45
There was a grant of administration (proved Norfolk Archdeaconry) on Mary's estate (less than £100) on 10th October 1848 to her son William Edward Guymer farmer of Stibbard. Thomas Christmas Parker of Little Ryburgh cordwainer & John Pilgrim the younger of Norwich gentlemen were additional bondsman {A17 MF300}
In William's will, made when he was "very ill & weak of body" he, farmer of Stibbard, left his property in Colkirk to his eldest son William Edward on condition that he pay towards the education of the two youngest sons, Jonathan & Nathaniel. The executrix & executor where his sister-in-law Elizabeth Fox, spinster, & his friend Peter Lake both of Little Ryburgh. They were to be the guardians & trustees of his property in Little Ryburgh for the benefit of these two sons. The witnesses were Jemima Drewell & Robert Cates. This will was proved at Fakenham on 30th March 1846 before the Norwich Consistory Court. The estate was valued at under £100 {folio 164 Baret}
