It is my belief that Mary Ann moves to Scotland & marries George Bunn/Burn, docks a few years of her age & takes on a changed identity as Marion Alice. Having moved north it is fair to assume her new man would not be aware of her past. The below infomation is taken form "Scotland's People". There is no record of a Marion Alice being baptised at Strumpshaw & she is never on any censuses
