From The Leeds Mercury 16th October 1873. On Monday Joseph Gymer, mate on board the schooner "Spray" at Goole together with seaman Samuel White were charged with stealing 10 stone of wheat which was cargo & sold it for 10/-. They were remanded until Friday when they were sent to trial at the sessions
