Radio City Music Hall has premiered over 700 films since the King Kong world-premiere in 1933. More recently the Music Hall has been host to the premieres of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azakaban, Ice Age, Disney's 102 Dalmatians and HBO’s television series The Sopranos. Madison Square Garden is best known for the premiere of Godzilla. The Theater at Madison Square Garden recently hosted the “live” finale of CBS’s hit reality show “Survivor: All Stars” in May, 2004. From the Tony Awards, Grammy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, ESPY Awards and Daytime Emmy Awards, to “Night of 100 Stars,” the RCE/TNT “Tribute to Brian Wilson,” VH-1 Divas and the premiere of HBO’s “The Sopranos,” Radio City Music Hall is known as the top venue in New York live entertainment spectaculars and events. The “Showplace of the Nation” has also hosted the top political figures in the world including events for: President Clinton’s 50th Birthday, a DNC fundraising event for Al Gore and Time Magazine’s 75th anniversary, in which leaders from around the world attended. Madison Square Garden and The Theater at Madison Square Garden has played host to the Grammy Awards, The Concert for New York City, Daytime Emmy Awards, Essence Awards, and will host in the summer of 2004 the Republican National Convention for the first time in history. |
