Sam leaps into Doc Young, who is covered in muck, holding a pig in a 50 thousand acre farm in Texas. Chance McGill and his daughter Tess McGill own the farm.

Chance is always complaining about Tess and how she does not know how to behalf like a real woman. He worries that because Tess acts like a man, no man will want her and he will have no grandchildren. Tess says that if Doc Young can out-do her with certain tasks on the farm, then she will marry him.

At first Sam is against this idea, but Al informs him that secretly Doc Young is madly in love with Tess and that he is there to make sure that Tess and he get married, so Sam decides to give it ago. It won't be easy.
