John Walter Wright went to India during the first World War at the age of 17 with the Bedfordshire Regiment. These photographs are of his time there, and friends and family on leave and at home in North London. Most of the places and people are unknown, and reflect attitudes of the time. Apart from family, I hope these photos will be of some wider interest, and I welcome any comments. A brief family history
