This site is about the sundials I make. They are all hand made and can be made from a variety of materials, such as slate, wood or Medium Density Fibre board. The final appearance can be determined by the type of finish that is used, art work and engraving. They are site specific. In other words they are designed specifically for the longitude and latitude they will be placed in. Sun dials can be vertical and wall mounted or horizontal. They can also be constructed for an incline. They can be orientated for South facing walls or East or West facing walls or any odd direction in between. Quite apart from showing the time they can also show the date, by the length of the shadow.
They make great presents, simply because they are so easy to personalise. Some ideas:
