My name is Jessica Quinn. I was born on the 23-11-1980 and am 21 years old. Originally born in Galway city, my family moved to Killarney in 1989 and we have lived there since. There are two children in my family, myself and my brother.
My father recently took over a restaurant situated in the Plaza Hotel in the centre of Killarney town. Before this opportunity arose for my Dad, he worked as a hotel manager. He has worked in 'The Corrib Hotel' Galway, ‘The Brandon Hotel' Tralee and 'The Three Lakes Hotel' Killarney. About two years ago, 'The Three Lakes Hotel' was bought by the O Donoghue-Rings group and they built 'The Plaza'. Then my Dad decided to accept their offer of running the 'pub grub' in the Plaza bar. He simply called it 'John Quinn Restaurant'.
My brother's name is Luke Quinn. Luke is currently in Leaving Cert in St. Brendan’s Secondary School Killarney. He was born on the 14-4-1986 and is sixteen years old. Luke is a huge soccer and Gaelic football fan. He recently had football trials for the Irish Munster Football Team (under 16). If he succeeds, he will be asked to try out for the All-Ireland Team. This would give him the opportunity to play abroad against other international teams such as Australia. He is waiting the results of the Munster trials at the moment.
I am in my second year studying computers in CIT.
Before this course, I studied commerce and Spanish in UCC for two years. During the week I live in Cork in student apartments. I have lived in these same apartments for the last four years. They are ideally situated near enough to both colleges and have all facilities nearby. I go home most weekends as I usually work for one day in my father's restaurant as a waitress. I had this same job during the summer. Previous summer jobs included working as a cashier in AIB Killarney, working as a sales assistant in a clothes shop called "Trigger Happy" and in Dunnes Stores. Last summer I went to Galway with two other friends and worked as an accommodation assistant in The Harbour Hotel. The summer before that, I went on my first 'friends' holiday to Santa Ponsa.
One of my favourite hobbies is listening to music and the radio. Although I don't have a particular favourite band, I have always been a huge fan of Madonna's music. Go to my hobby page to find out more about Madonna!!!!
My favourite type of sport is aerobics. I was a member of 'Physique Gym' in Killarney last year and I have recently joined aerobics classes in the Mardyke Arena in Cork.
