On the following pages you will see scans of some of the actual FBI documents pertaining to an alleged affrontery to the bureau by Five-0 in the season 1 episode TIGER BY THE TAIL. The entire package is twenty-three pages in length. The AirTel communique between HQ and the branch office in Los Angeles is three pages in length. The remaining twenty are copies of pages from the script from the beginning up to the scene where the Five-0 team connects the timing of the prop plane and the airing of "An old Hawaian standard" on the radio.

As final thought on their part the office in Honolulu was informed as 'needing to know' Duh!

This was obviously a very early draft of the script since the father of Bobby George is referred to as BYRON rather than Georgiatti as he is named in the telecasted version.

By clicking on the first page of the AirTel and both script pages you will be able to read the wording in text format as opposed to squinting to try and read off of the graphic. I took the liberty of highlighting the 'offensive' wording in the script.

The 66 and 67 scratchings on the AirTel refer to the reason for the blacked out areas. Had such wording been left in place then we would all know who Deepthroat was.

Once you are finished reading it will become very apparent that some one was either too impressed with himself , extremely insecure,or had way too much free time on his hands. Either way the episode was altered and an actor lost his job in order to appease a bureaucratic drone

Can you imagine what the producers of the series THE FBI had to endure. As a kind of humorous aside to that thought, Jack Lord was a guest star on one episode of THE FBI
