THE LOOK-IN
PICTURE STRIP ARCHIVE

I suppose some of you are aware that I haven’t done a lot to ‘John’s Look-out’ lately, well there is a very good reason. Over the time that Look-out has been online, it’s become clear from, your e-mails and guestbook entries that most of you want mostly to see the strips. So along with some mates called Daz and Steve, we have set about meeting this need. The result is the ‘Look-in picture strip archive’.

The site will attempt to archive every strip that ever appeared in Look-in’s pages. As you can imagine that won’t be an easy task, and it will take time. The site is up and running now, and has 19 issues for you to Look at.

As mentioned, this isn’t an easy task, and this is where you come in, if you’ve found this site, chances are you’re a Look-in fan, if you’re a Look-in fan, chances are you have issues of Look-in. If you have a scanner and a bit of spare time, perhaps you’d like to scan the strips for the site. It doesn’t have to take a huge amount of your time, if you send just one issue a month (Just the strips and the cover), that’s only 12 pages, three pages a week! Just do one every other day, and e-mail the issue at the end of the month.

We need scans sized at 725 pixels in width, scanned at 150dpi or better, label the files like this example:

‘19**_issue**_tomorrowpeople_pg0*

tomorrowpeople being an example, you would obviously put the name of the strip in the scan. Asterisks you would change for the date, issue no., and page no.

Then send the scans to:

ksnw15450_2@blueyonder.co.uk

Or Daz at:

daz@lookinarchive.com

This is also the address for any correspondence regarding the site.

John, Daz and Steve, thank you for reading this far, and if you can send some issues, will be even more stoked, as will loads of Look-in fans who will get to see your issues, we will of course credit anyone who contributes. We have quite a few issues between us, but these won’t last forever, and we will need help if we are to complete the site.

Thanks again John, Daz & Steve.
