The Ever-victorious WPK Inherits the Tradition of the DIU

- On the 81^st founding anniversary of the DIU ­

 

Great President Kim Il Sung who set out on the sacred road of revolution to liberate the fatherland from the Japanese imperialists formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU), a genuine revolutionary organization for the first time in Korea, on October 17, 1926 with the young revolutionaries of new generation.

The immediate task of the DIU is to overthrow Japanese imperialism and achieve the liberation and independence of Korea and the ultimate task is to build socialism and communism in Korea and to destroy all imperialisms and build communism throughout the world in the long run.

In actuality the DIU was a new-type pure and spick-and-span political organ that the youth of new generation desirous of socialism for realizing the national liberation and class emancipation under the ideal of anti-imperialism, liberation and independence formed overcoming the tribulations of history.

Thanks to the formation of the DIU the revolutionary struggle of the Korean nation could take a new track of its development and the glorious roots of the Workers’ Party of Korea began to strike.

The cornerstone of the WPK is the program of the DIU, the principles of the building and activities of the WPK are the principle of independence upheld by the DIU and the backbones of the WPK were the new-generation revolutionaries brought up by the DIU.

Thanks to such a brilliant tradition, the WPK could always emerge victorious though it has blazed the trail on the untrodden road.

The cause of the WPK started from the DIU is brilliantly inherited and developed under the wise leadership of leader Kim Jong Il, the peerless political elder.

Under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, the WPK has been strengthened and developed into the party of Kim Il Sung, its founder, an invincible revolutionary party which forged the blood-ties with the army and people and is vigorously pushing forward the socialist cause by the strength of Songun, and enjoys the praise as the motherly party that fully bears the responsibility for the people’s destiny and takes care of them.

Today the patriotic south Korean people are extending the greatest respect and thanks to leader Kim Jong Il who is strengthening and developing the WPK into a patriotic party which opens up the heyday of the national prosperity and an ever-victorious revolutionary party which leads the independent era in the van.
