Milestone of National Reunification

 

Now the Korean people are marking the 7^th anniversary of the publication of the historic June 15 joint declaration amid the dynamic march of the independent reunification upholding the banner of “By our nation itself” smashing the vicious challenges and moves of the separatist forces at home and abroad.

 

The inter-Korean summit meeting, the first of its kind in the history of the national division, and the adoption of the June 15 joint declaration, a milestone of the national reunification, seven years ago amidst the attention of the international community were an epochal event in Korea’s history, indeed.

 

Since then the south and north of Korea could bid farewell to the old history fraught with antipathy and confrontation and usher in the reunification era in which both sides pursue reconciliation and cooperation for the independent reunification.

The last 7 years since the publication of the joint declaration were a stirring period when the ideal of “By our nation itself” prevailed throughout the whole country and the national reconciliation and cooperation and the independent reunification movement are dynamically progressing.

Despite the wicked anti-reunification confrontation moves of the reactionaries inside and outside, multi-channeled dialogue and contacts have been brisk between the south and the north both on authorities and civilian levels on the principle of national independence, and the cooperation and exchange work has proceeded in favor of the independent reunification and the co-prosperity of the nation.

 

In step with the stirring development of the independent reunification era the Korean people of the south, the north and overseas from different social standings staged colorful functions for reunification including the great national festivals of reunification in Pyongyang, Seoul and Mt. Gumgang, exhilarating the whole country with the reunification furor.

And the solidarity and unity between the reunification movement organizations are further strengthened so that the national reunification movement is firmly settled as a nationwide movement.

With the national coordination as the main stream under the spirit of “By our nation itself” the struggle for independent reunification has incomparably intensified and the flames of the struggle against the US, the main stumbling block in way of Korea’s reunification, are getting more fervent in south Korea.

 

These changes taken place in the last 7 years during which a new chapter of history was registered in the inter-Korean relations and the reunification movement are a proud demonstration of the immense force of traction and vitality of the June 15 joint declaration.

Indeed, the June 15 joint declaration which opened a new era of the great national unity and independent reunification is a great program and milestone of the national reunification.

The eye-opening successes and reality of the June 15 reunification era are the brilliant fruition of Kim Jong Il’s lofty idea of independent reunification and his energetic leadership.

 

The Songun politics of Kim Jong Il becomes an ever-victorious sword that guaranteed the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and its successful implementation.

Unthinkable is the advent of the June 15 reunification era and its development apart from the Songun politics.

By his energetic Songun leadership Kim Jong Il smashed the US moves of aggression and war, firmly defended the destiny of the country and the nation and has led the independent reunification movement to advance dynamically.

 

Now the AINDF vanguard fighters and the patriotic people from all walks of life in south Korea, extend the highest glory and warmest greetings to Kim Jong Il who opened the June 15 reunification era and leads it to victory with his outstanding and seasoned leadership ability, extraordinary traits and infinite devotion for the country and nation. They refresh their resolve to discharge the responsibility and duty as the vanguards of the June 15 reunification era having the great pride and self-confidence of holding the brilliant commander of Songun in high esteem.

They will actively support and defend the Songun politics which safeguards the June 15 joint declaration and guarantees its successful implementation bearing in mind the truth that on the road of following the patriotic Songun politics they can further exalt the national sovereignty and dignity and accelerate the day of the peace and reunification.

They will also vigorously smash the ever-growing madcap moves of aggression, war, domination and interference of the US and more dynamically wage the struggle against the Grand National Party of south Korea and the patriotic reunification movement, thus making a fresh phase of the national reunification.

 

 

 

June 19, Juche53 (1964) is a significant day when Kim Jong Il started the work at the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The patriotic people of south Korea and the progressive humankind are warmly celebrating this occasion with great joy and passion.

 

The 40-odd years of Kim Jong Il’s work at the WPK Central Committee is shining with the extraordinary leadership of the great statesman and brilliant commander who performed the undying feats for the history and mankind by the prominent ideo-theoretical wisdom and revolutionary practices.

Kim Jong Il is the great leader who was born with the unheard-of traits and qualifications of a great man and registered the most brilliant victories and epochal miracles on his long revolutionary history.

He further developed and enriched the immortal Juche idea, the acme of the history of human thoughts, into the guideline of the independent era and the revolutionary theory representing the contemporary and future eras through his energetic ideo-theoretical activities.

 

Kim Jong Il strengthened the WPK to the eternal party of President Kim Il Sung that glorifies forever the ideas and exploits of the President through his experienced and seasoned leadership.

Today the WPK firmly established the ideological and leadership system of the leader in the party and radically refurbished the system and method of the party work so that the entire party was turned to a whole of ideological purity, an organizational integral and a unified-acting party pulsating with the revolutionary outlook on the leader and became the militant rank vibrant with high organizational standards and discipline.

Kim Jong Il built the WPK as the motherly party that faithfully serves the people thus further developing it to the powerful socialist ruling party with the strong mass support.

 

What is the most remarkable in Kim Jong Il’s leadership of the WPK is that he strengthened it to a powerful guiding force of the Songun revolution, thus providing the creditable guarantee for the completion of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

 

Thanks to his ever-victorious revolutionary leadership of Songun the WPK is opening the fresh turning phase in the construction of the thriving nation and the realization of the national reunification, and expanding the international solidarity with the Korean revolution and remarkably enhancing the DPRK’s prestige over the world.

The exploits of Kim Jong Il will shine forever who developed the WPK to the powerful and dignified Kim Il Sung’s party, the motherly party that shoulders the destiny of the people and faithfully serves them and the revolutionary party that secures the sovereignty of the country and realizes the prosperity of the nation relying on the revolutionary arms.

Indeed, Kim Jong Il is the great statesman and ever-victorious brilliant commander who safeguards the motherland, revolution and socialism and defends the destiny of mankind with the original Songun politics.

 

Therefore the patriotic people in south Korea and the progressive humankind are admiring Kim Jong Il as the great leader of the independent era and positively supporting and following his Songun politics, the ever-victorious sword.

 

 

Solidarity activities of the ASSP(UK) introduced in the DPRK

 

The solidarity activities of the Association for the Study of the Songun Politics in UK were introduced through the KCNA, the Korea Central Broadcast and Rodongsinmun from last April to May.

They introduced the statement of the ASSP(UK) in denunciation of the aggressive war drills of the US and south Korea in March, the update of the UK Songun Website, its internet journal “The Independence Star”, its special edition in congratulation of Kim Jong Il’s assuming of the chairmanship of the DPRK National Defence Commission, special web pages on the occasions of the Day of the Sun and the KPA anniversary, the updates to the “Songun Video Room” and the UK Songun website in May, and its solidarity statement marking 27^th anniversary of the Gwangju Popular Uprising.
