Marshal Kim Jong Il, Great Man of the Century

 

In this meaningful June which marks the 42^nd anniversary of great leader Marshal Kim Jong Il’s start of work in the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the hearts of the south Korean people are excited with the boundless reverence and praise toward the Marshal.

The worship of the south Korean people for the respected Marshal originates from the captivation by his political leadership ability.

The rapid advancement and enormous changes made in the revolution and construction during the long period of more than 40 years of his leadership on the revolution are the immortal feats that will shine forever.

It is none other than Marshal Kim Jong Il, the great statesman, who defended the destiny of the Korean nation resolutely smashing all the challenges and aggression moves of the imperialists by dint of the omnipotent Songun politics unprecedented in history of the world politics, and provided the turning phase of Korea’s reunification through the historic June 15 joint declaration, a milestone of the reunification.

It is the staunch conviction and volition of the south Korean people that the country’s reunification and bright future of the nation are secured when they hold in high esteem and follow great Marshal Kim Jong Il as the leader of the nation.

 

 

International Support to Korea’s Reunification Further Increasing

 

Amid the augmenting solidarity voice of the world people to the Korean people's struggle to achieve the country’s reunification independently and peacefully by their concerted efforts under the banner of the historic June 15 joint declaration, a great number of political parties and organizations in different countries issued statements and press releases one after another in support of Korea’s reunification this year, too.

They indicated that the historic Pyongyang Summit and the June 15 joint declaration, the landmark of the national reunification, arranged by Marshal Kim Jong Il, the sun of the 21^st century and brilliant commander of Songun, are a epoch-making event which opened the significant phase in Korea’s reunification movement, and highly appreciated the successes of Korean people's struggle to achieve the cooperation for national independence, for peace against war and for reunification and patriotism under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Il in this year.

The statements and press releases stressed that there could be neither lasting peace nor peaceful reunification as far as the US hostile policy against the DPRK and a new war moves are continuing, and called on the US to stop its anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK, pull out its aggression troops from south Korea without any delay and withdraw its machinations impeding the Korean people's movement for independent reunification advancing dynamically under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration.

They expressed their resolve to more energetically wage the solidarity activities in support of the just and patriotic cause of the Korean people for the national independence and reunification through the nation-wide struggle for independence and peace against the US and war.

 

 

Struggle against the south Korea-US FTA intensifying

 

The expeditionary demo group consisting of the south Korean civic organizations including the All-People Movement Headquarters for Checking the South Korea-US FTA, together with some 300 people of the US anti-war and anti-globalization organizations rallied near the White House in Washington on June 4 to oppose the conclusion of the FTA and launched a fierce struggle.

The participants vehemently denounced the US which applies the anti-people policies centered on neo-liberalism upon other countries seeking its own interests and stressed that they would frustrate the first-round talks with daring struggles such as press conferences, symposiums and candle-lit demos till the 9^th of the month in which the talks would end.

They expressed their determination to solidarize with the international anti-globalization struggle.

That day the participants of the rally staged a demonstration march along the road near the White House uplifting placards and banners bearing the slogans such as “No to the South Korea-US FTA”.

 

 

The Korean Central News Agency, Korea Central Broadcast and TV and Rodongsinmun reported on April 30 the solidarity activities conducted by the Association for the Study of the Songun Politics (UK) and the Juche Idea Study Group (UK) on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.

They introduced that the above-said organizations carried on Internet the photos of great President Kim Il Sung and write-ups under an article headlined “Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung Will Always Be With Us” and the President’s undying exploits performed in founding and strengthening the DPRK under the article “Eternal Kim Il Sung Korea”, and “Kimilsungia in Full Bloom”, and other write-ups such as “President Kim Il Sung is Immortal in the Hearts of the South Korean People” and “The Korean People’s Army, an Invincible Army”.

They also reported on May 5 that the ASSP (UK) carried on the UK Songun website the article entitled “The 74^th Anniversary of the Glorious KPA” and “Providing the Tradition of the Great National Unity” and “Let us Smash the Wild Ambition of the Japanese Reactionaries for Reinvasion”, and the joint statement supporting the south Korean people's struggle against the expansion of the US military base and related photos.
