WELCOME .to the English Karate Organisation!

Our Chief Instructor is Sensei Dave Sharkey 7th Dan, and here, you have the opportunity to learn this exciting art under the personal guidance and supervision of one of the E.K.O's Senior Qualified Instructor's. No matter what our age, exercise (under qualified instructors) can only be of benefit to us, and sadly, in to-day's society we all need some form of self-protection. With our teaching, you will learn self defense and at the same time keep fit.so what could be better! You will be taught movements in an organised, proven manner and probably be surprised how quickly you progress, gaining new confidence as you become fitter, healthier and realise that you now have a better chance to defend yourself if need be. Of course as parents we wish to protect our children but unfortunately there are many times when we are not around to do so. Learning with us will give them the confidence and practical knowledge of having a better chance to protect themselves when you are not there. You will find us a very friendly club and be made most welcome. We have classes that cater for men, women and children of all ages and we realise that when starting, you may not be as fit as you perhaps like and adjust your training programme accordingly. You do not need any special clothes to start, your normal ones will be more than adequate and as Karate is practiced barefoot all you need to do is remove your shoes, socks.and you are ready. As you would expect, the instruction and practice of Karate is quite strictly controlled and we are in fact the only karate association in the country that is recognised and approved by the European Karate Organisation Governing Body in addition to the National Sports Council Governing Body, ensuring you are learning correctly and safely under properly qualified instructors. In addition the E.K.O. gives you all the benefits you would expect of a prestigious organisation, the highlight of the year being our own E.K.O. National Karate Championships. These are held annually in the Midlands each spring and who knows, you may even compete yourself one day! We have regular classes each week and you can attend as often or as little as you like, every class or once a month, the choice is entirely yours according to your individual circumstances and requirements. Well done.you have taken the first and most important step by inquiring, so next week try a lesson, you will be treated gently and sympathetically and be really glad you did!

Our skill and expertise is here for you.take it! ENGLISH KARATE ORGANISATION
