When using a computer regularly, you might
find constant use of a mouse is starting to take it's toll on your
wrist, as well as taking up quite a bit of your time.
This can be avoided, by using the mouse
less often to perform tasks that can be carried out using Keyboard
Shortcuts, many programs can be operated using them, but finding out
what they are can be quite a time consuming task.
By searching the help pages of programs,
you should be able to find out what Keyboard Shortcuts are available
for that program.
The problem does not end there though as
the Keyboard Shortcuts will often be presented in a tabulated form,
meaning that if you decide to print them out, you will end up printing
unnecessary tables, resulting in a waste of ink and paper.
By creating this website, I have done all
the hard work for you, by removing the process of finding these files
in the help pages, and also by presenting them in a printer friendly
format, which will save on costly ink and paper.
Throughout this website, the action that
will be performed is presented in bold text, and
the keypresses are presented in normal text.
In the following pages you might, for
example, see Ctrl+Enter, this would mean you would have to press the
Ctrl key and then keep this pressed until you have pressed Enter, which
would result in the required action taking place.
However, you might see Ctrl++, which could
prove a little bit more confusing, but as before, this would mean you
would have to press the Ctrl key and then keep this pressed until you
have pressed + (the plus sign), which would result in the required
action taking place.
Some of the Keyboard Shortcuts will require
that more than 2 keys are pressed, such as Ctrl+Alt+Del, this would
mean you would have to press the Ctrl key and then keep this pressed
whilst you press Alt, and then keep both of them pressed until you
press Del, which would result in the required action taking place.
