Stonethrowers Rally 2004
Clonmel was the venue once again for the stonethrowers rally this year. It started out to be a very wet day but dryed up considerably as the day went on but amazing as it may sound this was the cause of what happened. Coming around a fast right turn the back of the car stepped out because I was on wet tires on a dry road, and I shot across the road hitting the ditch and clearing it causing alot of damage to the car. after about 10 mins of feeling sorry for myself I relaised the car wasnt actually that bad and I jumped in and continued in the rally. Unfortunately I lost far too much time at the accident and ended up very far down the field. The next event planned is the Cork 20 if I can get the car sorted.

May 2004
Rally of the Lakes
Derek was driving and Kieran on the notes, First stage of this tough 19 stage
rally we broke down loosing 15 mins while we tried to fix an oil pipe that
had come off, this quite difficult around a red hot engine.. We had to limp
through the next two stages to service and lost nearly 20 mins in total which
we would never get back. We kept going and battled on to have an enjoyable
second day putting in some respectable stage times. we finished the rally
and thoroughly enjoyed driving over the finishing ramp outside the GlenEagle
Hotel.

April 2004
Skibreen Single Stage
First event of the year was Skibb single stage in April, Kieran was driving
and Derek in the hot seat. We had a good run finishing 4th in class out of
25, but i was hoping for slightly better. This accounted for 41st overall
in the rally out of 130 starters. Stage 1 we were a bit rusty after a 6 months
break so there were a few mistakes from both Driver and co-driver. stage 2
was an improvement and stage 3 was an excellent time.. Oh yea and there was
the big Jump which we nearly wrote the car off.........

Special thanks to our outstanding Service crew on both rally's because without them we would not be able to compete...
