What can you say about La Rue’s that doesn’t say things that everyone already knows? Not a lot I suppose !! But it is the brightest, glitteriest, most wonderful spot in and around Grimsby for miles. It has the best drag acts, the greatest atmosphere and is the most welcoming.

The host and hostess, Wayne/Lola, are just perfect in the way that she looks after anyone who arrives. Her combined efforts make everyone feel at ease, Lola’s choice of music on a Saturday has to be heard to be appreciated, everything from the Eighties to current pop is played by her.

The bar is staffed by such friendly people as Dani/Roxy and Marie who serve you willingly, with a smile and a friendly word. The door is manned by Kev/Katy who will take your breath away.
