Hi
My name is Laura Mitchell and I live in the
Stockholm area of Sweden.
I have been studying construction and design,
pattern making and art at college for the
last few years and have had my 2000 and 2001
collections exhibited at fashion shows in
my home city.
On the next few pages, you will find some
of my work - most of these items have been
made exclusively for friends andcustomers, others are 'concept' pieces that
I have made for my fashion shows.
As I am the only person involved in every
step of the clothing creation, each piece
is uniquely designed, planned and made by
myself.
A large amount of the items that I make are
built from unique fabrics including,antique,
embroidered and ethnic designs that cannot
ever be reproduced.
I get lots of emails from people asking me how to be a designer, but in fact I am not employed as a designer (I have now finished all my studies) and am desperately trying to find work in the fashion industry. If you read this and are able to assist me in finding work, then I would greatly appreciate any contacts or comments you have. This website was made by my boyfriend after my fashion show in Stockholm as a way of trying to advertise myself and my clothes to any potential employers (or sponsors)!
