EAST KILBRIDE GYMNASTS WIN GOLD AT BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS
Two of our East Kilbride Acrobatic Gymnasts, Dominic Young and Fraser Shepard, recently competed at the British NDP Championships in Stoke-on-Trent. The British NDP Championships brings together the top gymnasts that were successful at regional qualifications across the United Kingdom. The pair competed in the Men’s Pair Grade 4 level; this level being the most technically challenging on display at the NDP Championships. Up against competition from clubs across the UK, the EK pair performed two excellent routines which earned them the gold medal. Coach Ian Shields who was at the Championships with Dominic and Fraser congratulated them on their success, "They have consistently worked hard over the past few months and I'm happy they have done themselves proud and performed so well".  The boys have also won gold at the Scottish championship and at the Swiss international in Zurich.  On behalf of everyone at East Kilbride Gymnastic club, "Well Done !".
