Hi, I have tried to play the version of Long Distance Love you have posted, but have had some difficulties with it - here's my version. Sorry about the unmusical notation. The chord fingerings I use are: G: GBDGDG D: xxDADE Em: EBEGDG G(F# root): F#xDGDG (silent A) Am(more like Asus7): xAEGDG G(B root): xBDGDG Bm7: xBF#ADF# Em(2): EBDGDF# C: xCEGDG Its all based around the G fingering above, with the high D and G (3rd and 4th finger) held for most of the other chord voicings. The G(F# root) has the F# played with the thumb. It's more a timing and feel thing than a regular 4 to the bar. Long Distance Love Verse 1: G D Em Ah, hello...Give me missing persons, they said G(F# root) G What is it that you need? Am G(B root) G (B root) I said oh, I need her so...She said you've C G(F# root) G Got to stop your pleading Chorus: Em G (F# root) G 'Cause no matter what you do, Em G (F# root) G Am Even pray to heaven above, ooh G (B root) C All you'll ever get from her is C G (F# root) G Long distance love Verse 2: Em I read the papers G (F# root) G And I got the blues Am Bm7 Em(2) I'm so sad to hear the news C G Help wanted, but not enough C D G You know these times are gettin' rough Chorus, etc Brian -- Brian Wisden wisdenb@fastmail.fm
