About LMM
We are based in a small (but historically important of course)
market town called Machynlleth,
which is located in the heart of Powys, in Mid-Wales (UK)!
We formed in September/October 1999 and started playing covers
of various rock, pop, accoustic, punk, and (heavy?) metal songs by artists such
as "The Cranberries", "Bryan Adams" and "The
Stereophonics". More recent covers are by artists suck as "Green Day",
"Feeder", "Travis", "Lit"
and even not commonly known bands like "Autopilot Off" and
"Joyrider".
Back then we were mainly a cover band but have now
started writing our own songs and material. We decided that we cant try and
force ourselves to write (as this doesnt seem to work) but since deciding to
have a go at the Battle Of The Bands Competition in Newtown, we found that this
was the large kick in the ass we needed to help us start writing our own material....and
oh boy, did we write, and even bring in an additional guitarist to help add
to the sound and provide some additional ideas and styles (yes, that would be
you Shane hehe).
Anyone that would like to help us out in some way, be it through
venues to play, equipment for us, and...dare I say it...sponsor us, please
dont hesitate to contact us.
