Mark Bajer HG.Dip.P. DHypPsych(UK) GQHP MHGI GHR (Reg) CCC Reg.

My experience of helping people with emotional problems goes back to the mid 1980's, when I provided crisis counselling with the Samaritans. Building on this experience, I began working for ChildLine, initially as a counsellor, and then as a counselling supervisor and trainer. I continue to work part time at ChildLine, and part time in private practice for individuals and organisations including The Richmond Fellowship and local Social Services. 

Following My experience and training with the Samaritans and ChildLine, I studied with Mindfields College (the leading independent provider of training days and workshops to the NHS and Social Services in the UK) where I passed the Human Givens Diploma (Post Graduate). I am a member of the Human Givens Institute and a Registered Practitioner. I have also studied with Uncommon Knowledge, organisation member of the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC), and passed their Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. I have the General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice, and I am a Registered Hypnotherapist (GHR).

I offer private therapy at my clinic based at Ashlins Natural Health, and specialist therapeutic services to family centres and social services. I have experience of working with child protection issues, and of making assessments. I can accept NHS referrals from GP's and health professionals (NHS provider code 8GC02)

Earlier experience on stage as an actor and performing artist has enabled me to develop useful communication and presentation skills which I now able utilise when required to take part in interviews and documentaries about my work as a counsellor and therapist. Most recent examples are “Red Mist 2”, a television documentary made by London Weekend Television, and live interviews on the Steve Allen show (LBC Radio), and BBC local radio news.

I am fully insured for professional liability through the block policy of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), of which I am a member.
