AGRICULTURE ¦ DOMESTIC ¦ HISTORIC ¦ INDUSTRIAL ¦ MILITARY ¦ MISCELLANEOUS ¦ RAILWAYS ABOUT ¦ CONTACT ¦ DISCLAIMER ¦ LINKS Urban Exploration is an up and coming activity that has become very popular with many people. It involves going to buildings which are old and abandoned, experiencing how they are and documenting the place for reference. All around the country are abandoned buildings. Once these buildings are abandoned, it is only a matter of time before nature takes hold and ruins these buildings, however not all the time the influence of nature is the cause of ruination- often the buildings reach there demise because of careless action caused by so called “chavs” who apparently get pleasure out of destroying things. Therefore it is important to find these buildings before they become to damaged and decayed, and record details about them so others can share in the knowledge. My aim of the website is to do exactly what I have said above- go to these derelict buildings, and document what they are and in what state they are. I am Brains, the sole creator of this site. I live in Horsham, West Sussex, and the area in which I live in has plenty to look at. I have only in the past few years got into the flow of Urban Exploration ever since being invited on one of James Hall's of Derelict Horsham and The Derelict Miscellany fame. My first trip was to Beedingwood, a local place of mine, and this set my desire to visit these derelict places. Now my aim is to document and photograph these places before they are lost from our midst forever. Please enjoy looking around the site at these places I have visited. |
