This is a person who looks exactly like me, dressed as a Little Egyptian of the mid-15th century. The real Margareta vanden Velde is a middle class Flemish scribe. She has heard a rumour that there is a Gypsy on the loose who is giving out her name, but she has been unable to track her down. She is also having a hard time keeping track of the gold in her scribal supplies.
Margareta the Flemish scribe enjoys scribing, sewing, research, gardening, and other dull, grown-up things. Margareta the Rom enjoys music, dancing, travelling, and living by her wits.
Since this is an SCA page, my SCA friends and family are listed here. My laurel: Dame Sarra Graeme of Ealdormere, a scribal laurel and mundanely a United Church minister. She is very cool. Apprentice sister: Dona Eleanor de Grismonte, Ealdormere. Sadly, she has largely stopped playing in the SCA. Former apprentice sister: Dame Helen of Greyfells, who was elevated to the Order of the Laurel for costuming shortly after I was apprenticed. Households: Academia Xiphias, Ealdormere, and Fallen From Grace, Atlantia.
