A world crafted from the Abyss,
In the image of the Holy Lands;
A world of spilled blood,
For the glory of the Holy Lands!

For the heralds thus spoke of their dreams:

And a host of Seraphim came down from the skies,
And a host of Demons leapt up towards the skies.
And the armies of the world below fell silent,
And the armies of the world above embraced in blood.

But ere the day of the Second War of Heaven and Hell,
The armies of the world below, the armies of Arniria,
Must let their swords sing the song of death and ruin;
To fight for the gods, and to bring woe to their foes!

 

Indeed, Arniria is a violent world. For many years now, I have been immersed in all sorts of wondrous fantasy worlds. Reading, watching, role-playing and, since about three years ago, writing. So I decided to create a fantasy world of my own. My stories, poems and novels (The first one is still just beginning) are all placed in this virtual realm, and when I ‘game-master’ a fantasy role-play session (I’m also working on Arniria’s own pencil and paper based role-play system), I place the players in it. There’s also a club based role-play version on Yahoo. So, we have one world that exists on many levels. This page is here to allow others to share a part of this fantastic world. If you are a fellow role-player, feel free to use elements of this world for your own. Be patient with me, though; there is a lot of work to be done yet, and I cannot devote all of my time developing and discovering this world. And I’m a terrible perfectionist when it comes to my baby :D so it takes time.

The races section gives you an overview of all the various creatures and beings that dwell in Arniria. I have completed outlining if not detailed descriptions of Goblins, Unicorns, Pegasi, Blessed (magical) Animals and Vampires. Elves still have only a partial file, covering mostly their appearance.

In the Religion section, you will find a list of deities of Arniria (a flash version is currently in development), and a story of the creation of the world. Soon, descriptions of the individual gods will start appearing. Iria, goddess of revenge, will probably make the first appearance. Hopefully, one day, we’ll have the prayers page filled, but more about that can be found in the Magic section.

That is, it will be there once I put something in there. Here will be a general description of the metaphysics of Arniria and the various ways its sentients utilise it. For now, let’s just say that there are people who use the magic around them, the people who use the magic within them, and priests and holy warriors who receive their spells from the deities above (hence the prayers).

In the Legends section, you can find a few typed in stories and poems. I’m thinking of adding sections of the first novel as they are completed as well.

The Lands section will start appearing after I become satisfied will the general description of the world (and if you account for my perfectionism, it will not be all that soon). Unfortunately, the Yahoo club depends very much on this section, so it will be a while before it starts working.

Beware, this site is not finished, nor is it even nearly finished. Construction continues!

Oh, and one other thing. Some of the material might not be suitable for the younger ones... or people faint of hearth.

Oh, my, completely forgot about this site, need to rework everything, a lot of things have been changed... ah, well, i'll fix it up... eventually...
