Well ….that’s it all over! 66 days of walking, over 300 hours and one thousand and seventy six miles. Through 21 counties, from the most westerly to the most easterly, from the most southerly to the most northerly.
Today I walked the final 12 miles from Mey to John o’Groats. It took me just 3 hours, 30 mins. The day was pretty misty throughout, until we got to J o’G when the sun came out and we had a glorious sunny end to the walk. I was accompanied by Carys, Grant, Alison and Sue for the final "push".
Tomorrow we drive to Inverness for a flight back to Heathrow, and back to Maidenhead to open my accumulated junk mail from the last 10 weeks or so.
I would like to thank all those who have helped. Walkers, well-wishers, and my support team for their tremendous efforts. If you have been kind enough to sponsor me, please don't send any money yet. I will be in touch by mid June.
All the best
