He has worked with such legendary musicians as Sultan Khan, Asha Bhosle, Sezen Aksu, Tiger Lillies, Mustapha Tettey Addy, Kadir Durvesh, Spirit Talk Mbira, Zarsanga, Joji Hirota, Candan Ercetin, RD Burman and BK Chandrashekar, to name but a few. He has also worked with Europeans (the Rolling Stones, George Michael, Sparks, Primal Scream, Blur, S'Express and many others he has judiciously forgotten).

Recording locations have included Bali, Morocco, Pakistan, Egypt, the Gambia, Ghana, Turkey and the Hindi film-music world of Bombay. Recording environments range from fruit farms in the Pakistani Punjab to harems in Marrakech, from deserted cemeteries in the Rif mountains of North Africa to teeming marketplaces in Indonesia, as well as studio locations. Projects range from impromptu gatherings and live festival performances to organised multi-tracked studio sessions. He recorded sound for the WDR film 'Zuflucht am Bosporous' on location in Turkey and then worked with legendary Turkish diva Sezen Aksu on her latest recording (engineering / mixing / co-production) and tour (bass). Festival recordings include Heimat Klänge/Berlin, Urs of Shah Latif / Pakistan, the Positif Festival in Istanbul, SFB4's Silk Road in Berlin and the annual SFB birthday celebration in Berlin at the House of World Cultures.
