The Potterne Mummers
Bernard Baker did some research into the history of Potterne Village at
the Devizes Museum and found the words for a traditional Christmas Mummers Play. Thus in 1953 this play was revived for the first time since before the second world war.
Moonraker Morris and friends now present this play every Christmas at various venues each year,
always finishing at Potterne on Christmas Eve.
