3) How can I get an email address at yahoo?

  1. Go to a net bar and write the address 'http://www.yahoo.com.cn' in the long white box at the top of the screen, then click the mouse on 'go' or hit the enter key.
  2. Click the mouse on the 电邮/email icon at the top of the page. (There is a picture of an envelope above 电邮/email)
  3. Click on the mouse on 请马上注册/create new email address (in underlined blue writing). Scroll down to the end of the page (using the page down button on the keyboard) and click the mouse on 我接受/I agree at the bottom of the long agreement.
  4. Fill in the personal information about yourself. Use your 'englishnamechinese/mongolianname' as your yahoo sign in name (with no spaces). Don't put any numbers in it, like 2002 or 1984. Don't call yourself 'Apple' or something silly that isn't a real name. Also check the spelling of your English name in the dictionary or if you are not sure ask me before you make your email address. If you can't spell your name properly in your email address people will think that you are stupid, so be careful. Choose something easy to remember as your password for example your phone number.
  5. Now you should have your email address. The menu is on the left hand side of the screen in a white box, it has a blue background. It reads 1 Check Email, 2 Compose letter, etc. Just read it and it will be obvious to you.
  6. Now you need to send me an email and tell me, your English name, Chinese name and class. However I should know YOUR NAME because IT SHOULD BE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS!!! My email address is
  7. When you have finished make sure you 'sign out'. Do this by clicking the mouse at the bottom of the white box menu. It is the last button. Now you have finished doing email.
