Motion ¦ Capture is an ongoing photographic record and reflection on the "lost time" experienced by commuters and passengers of public transport systems.
Often frustrating or merely banal, Motion ¦ Capture evolved out of the desire to counteract the tedium of being a passenger - to rally against the isolation of being stuck in an ever shifting "here", waiting to get "somewhere".

***
Whilst some editorial judgment is inevitable in the final selection of images exhibited, no aesthetic criteria are allowed to cloud the moment of their composition. Each picture is a fluke, a conspiracy of the motion of the passenger vehicle and the environment through which it moves.
Each image is compressed in the JPEG file format and resampled to 250 x 188 resolution for display on the internet.
No other editing, retouching or filtering takes place, and the final images are displayed in chronological order.
The only imported graphic elements in this website are the Motion ¦ Capture images themselves. All design components are generated with HTML & CSS, using the Standard Colour Index.
Motion ¦ Capture is not a photographic portfolio.
