The ChampCar calendar for 2003 has been announced with some notable changes to the preliminary calendar announced previously.
The Chicago Motor Speedway has lost its slot on the calendar after disappointing ticket sales last season. However CART boss Chris Pook firmly stated that ChampCar racing had not been lost to Chicago permanently. "This market is important to us, and we hope to return there with a street race," he said.
