Law firms are useful for different reasons. Firstly, many firms publish legal information on their sites. Publications tend to fall into two categories: large commercial law firms articles and publications are aimed at the corporate client, with smaller firms the target is the average layman. Secondly, web sites are easier and quicker to update compared to text books, so any recent developments can be quickly assimilated. Finally, most of the big law firms recruit online - handy if you are looking for a change, training contract or just work experience.
