              The North Of England Chess rapidplay will not be held this year as the Venue will instead will be used to raise money for the flood victims in our area of June 25th 2007. See below for afternoon chess event & Simul.

A 1950's 60's &70's Rock & Roll Dance Live Music and Off The Record night will be held at the Eckington Civic Centre Market Street Eckington on Sunday September 30th at 6.30 pm for 7pm meal.

Tickets are  £15 and any donations small or large will be gratefully received for raffle or auction.

Tickets include Pie and Pea Supper cooked on the premises there and then served straight from the oven.

Boppers of all ages are expected and another supporting  live band or bands will be announced as soon as possible.

1.00 pm for 1.30 pm there will be 5 minute 7 rounds blitz run by Bill Ward Sec. Sheffield District Chess Association.

£5 entry. No Cash Prizes. Funds go to Flood Relief on behalf of Sheffield District Chess Assoc. Bring your own clock ( if you have one ) just in case we get more than expected. The Blitz is for Sheffield district players and players who played the North of Englands Rapidplay last year only.

IM Andrew Ledger will give a Simul Display at £5 per player after the Blitz.

Tea and coffee 50p. Some snacks available. Bar Open.
