The Ti'Mur observed the starship Enterprise at Archer's Comet in 2151, where it also served to relay messages between Sub-Commander T'Pol and Koss. Captain Vanik was invited onboard the Enterprise but was more interested in observing humans than eating. Later tractored a shuttlepod from Archer's Comet after the shuttlepod became trapped on the comet's surface. Afterwards the Ti'Mur returned to Vulcan. ENT "Breaking The Ice". |

HISTORY
The Surak Class vessel was a Vulcan starship in service during the mid 22nd century. Like most Vulcan starships the Surak Class was equipped with the ringed warp propulsion system. The command and crew quarters were located on the forward section while the engineering section, medical and science facilities were located on the aft section of the vessel. The ringed warp nacelle was connected to the bottom of the aft section. Like all Vulcan vessels the Surak Class was painted in the traditional red for all Vulcan vessels. Classified as a general all purpose vessel the Surak Class can perform scientific, transport and even combat missions.
Little is known about the technical specifications of the Surak Class. The Vulcans have on many occassions refused to disclosed any information about their ships. Starfleet's information on this class was based on rumour and first hand observations. Surak Class vessels however are more sophisicated and technologically more advance than the NX-Class. The Surak Class has a higher maximum warp speed of warp 7 and is equipped with a tractor beam which the Vulcan's have refused to share. The tactical capabilities are a lot superior than the NX-Class. They are equipped with energy shielding and a more powerful phased energy weapon. They could possibly be armed with other tactical systems such as photon torpedoes. In additional her sensors are a lot more sophisicated than the NX-Class.
Although
the cylindrical nacelle configuration would eventually prove to be the more
successful, the ring nacelle was considered much superior at the time, and is
still viable today. The ringed warp propulsion system is still in use by the
24th century with the Apollo Class.
