Welcome to Operation Elderly Charity Stitchers we are a non-profit Organisation that makes Lap Quilts and blankets for the elderly residents in nursing homes around the UK.

Our aim in making these quilts for the elderly is to spare a thought for them in this time in their lives when they are most in need of care and support.

A lot of elderly people are alone and do not have family and friends to visit them and may feel neglected or forgotten about.

So let’s please spare a thought and send as many elderly people in residential homes or living alone an OECS quilt to lift their spirits!

We also make knitted and crochet lap blankets to send as these can provide extra warmth especially in the winter months.

How you can help:

Here are some of the things you can do to help...

Cross Stitch a Square for a quilt

Be a quilter and help put quilts together

Knit or Crochet a square for a blanket

Stitch a Gift Card to go with the quilts and blankets that get sent out

Donate materials, money, items to auction on EBay to raise money towards materials etc

Be a area coordinator
