RICHARD ATTENBOROUGH DVDs
Richard
Attenborough (1923- )
A giant of film, both in front of, and behind the camera, Richard
Attenborough began his career playing not very noble types, in
British films, including a coward in Noel Coward's 'In Which We
Serve (1942)', and a teenage thug in 'Brighton Rock (1947)'.
Later, he was outstanding as the evil John Christie in '10
Rillington Place (1971)'. Attenborough, in later years, has won
great acclaim for his directorial work, on films with a
humanitarian message, including 'Gandhi (1982)', for which he won
an Oscar, and 'Cry Freedom (1987)'.
