2003.03.20 Phil is a boyband

Hello all. Disturbing photo of me attached.

As many of you already know, I've recently transformed myself in to Baldy Phil. This being the case, tonight's contest is: ridiculously large forehead versus too-camp-to-pull-it-off stubble! To the victor goes a place on my bonce. What's the verdict? Are there any other contenders? As always, your thoughts would be appreciated.

Claire	"Number 4 reminds me of a certain evil person, so you're not allowed to keep it. I want to see the progression through to longer hair. I think you should try a wet look."

Liz	"I have sought the opinion of Jean and Jenni, and after we stopped laughing at the first hairy scary picture are in agreement that it should be somewhere between the two. As always, women have to be awkward! But Jenni says the hairy stubble on the t-shirt neck line NEEDS TO GO!"

Andy	"For what it's worth, stay with number 4, it's the best, plus we might as well get used to it before it becomes irreversible! (P.S. You'll have to tell me the secret to how you got liz to open her gob that wide. I know most people say it's easy...)"

Mandi	"Who is that? Oh I thought it was one of your friends, hehe, but in that case keep it how it was. I prefer skinhead, but I like your hair at my house if you see what I mean."
Jo	"Number 1. 'Cause then you'll have to go through all the others to get there."

Lizzie	"About your hair, as if I care! Do you keep it long, for the sake of a song? Do you keep it short, because of a thought? What can I say, Hairy? I'm not a fairy. My mum says shaved, you look sexy with not so much hairy! I hope I've helped."
Jim	"Spot on."
Sar-i-pie	"What have you done now? And more to the point, why? The baldness is quite scary. I'm not sure why you cut off your lovely hair. You look like a middle-aged man now."
Spence	"I knew that first guy from a couple of years ago, but I didn't know it was you!"
Stacey	"Number 3 looks better in person than it does in that photo. Number 4 looks like a psycho but I like it when it's grown a little."
Phil J	"I like it long. No no no, hehe. You look like a model in number 4. It reminds me of the photos of the Big Brother contestants."
Kate	"Number 4 is cute, but I do see the convict thing. I like number 2 - that's how you had it when you did Harry Potter."
Adam	"Wow. I have now experienced Phil phase four."
Karen	"Number 3 looks like a psycho. I prefer number 2. Really."
Tracy	"It's just a bit of a shock at first, but I like to stroke it like I used to do with Paul's."
Amy	"I have decided that number one looks like a gothic, number two like a typical American boy band member, three is like a crazy psycho, and four looks good! No offence - they're all ok really!"
Kev	"It was too short when you first had it shaved but it looked spot on with a little growth, and your beard the same length."
Matt	"Not bad me old china. Keep it cool man and keep it short. 3 and 4 geeze."
Jeff	"I think that it is more like a poster for film stars... Hairy #1 stars in Interview with the Vampire; Hairy #2 is a Leo Dicrapio style bod; Hairy #3 is, well I haven't figured that one out yet, but I'm sure something will come to me, and Hairy #4 is in Trainspotting. So there you go, that's what I think!"

Welly	"The 1st one makes you look all svelte and perhaps foreign and mysterious, the 2nd is cute young-looking Phil who looks like butter wouldn't melt, the 3rd a sexier look, definitely boy band-ish that one, and the 4th, you abandoned your true self, though I must admit I was loving the texture."

Tom	"I think the first one looks too much like Neil from The Young Ones. The second's not you, he's in Westlife. The third is on Hollyoaks. And the fourth, my bro sez he looks like Chris from Coldplay. Unanimous really, Chris does it for me."
