ART,TEA AND CAKES.......

As part of this years NEOS event Ardo House,Whitecairns,has opened its gates to a diverse group of contemporary artists.The artists were all requested to relate their work to the theme of “no barriers”,resulting in a wide range of responses all linked by a common theme.Visitors found Installations hidden away in the grounds and outbuildings and two performances took place during the week. Local artists;Amy Forbes,Deborah Cumming,Outside the Tent,Liz Alderdice,Roderick Scott,Susie Hunt,Donna Ferenth,Mary Cane, Lois Carson and Moira Third were some of the featured artists with installations and artwork to explore.For the opening event,recent Grays graduate Merlyn Riggs hosted a performance piece based around the traditional “Sunday Lunch” and on Friday 19th well known Torphins artist Ingeborg Bodzioch staged an Art/food performance,"Fly cup and sweets".Images of these events and of the installations can be viewed by visiting the gallery page.
