If I signed a petition
Would that do any good
With this silly prohibition
Of smoking a leaf or bud

The law that forbids a bloke
A citizen of our time
To roll a joint or have a toke
The law itselfs a crime

It’s still a belief
Among many a bloke
What causes the Grief
Is the law not the toke
