This site is dedicated to one of the funniest sitcoms ever made. The Royle Family first appeared on British TV in 1998, on BBC2, before later being switched to BBC1. Three series and a couple of Christmas specials later, the show has enjoyed great success, won numerous awards and gained many fans.
Filmed in real-time, it's set (most of the time!) in the front-room of a Manchester council house and follows the antics of a couch-potato family gathered round their telly. It's ground-breaking, brilliantly observed and one of the best comedies ever written.
So...if you too think The Royle Family is the best thing since sliced bread and have been suffering withdrawal symptons ever since the end of series three...you are not alone. Put your feet up, grab a brew and click on one of the links to the left to find out more.
