A little bit about me
I have been dancing in this style for just under twenty years [originally trained with Jacquie Jamal] and have been teaching here in Durham for thirteen years. As well as teaching various regular classes, I I also teach specialist groups, those with physical/learning difficulties. My particular interests are body image/eating disorder issues for women, academic research into Middle East culture generally and specifically in the dance and music of the Near and Middle East/North Africa, dance therapy for physical and emotional treatment and relaxation.
