11th Shaw Scout Troop - Scout Badges - Challenge badges

CHALLENGE BADGES

Challenges badges extend Scouts' skills and experience. There are 8 such badges in the Scout section covering various areas. They all have multiple requirments and can be achieved over a period of time. The list of the Challenges bades are : The Outdoor Challenge The Outdoor Plus Challenge The Creative Challenge The Fitness Challenge The Global Challenge The Community Challenge The Adventure Challenge The Expedition Challenge

All Scout work that a Scout does can be cross referenced across the different types of badges. Therefore a Scout could be doing work for more than one badge at the same time. i.e. doing work on a Challenge badge but the same work could qualify for part of an activity badge. This helps to stop work being duplicated, and also helps the scouts progress quicker through their badge work.
