11th Shaw Scout Troop - Scout Badges - Group Awards

GROUP AWARDS

Group Awards are awarded for particpating in a project with members from two or more Sections working together. (i.e. Cubs and Scouts) There is considerable flexibility in the rules for working for these Awards. The Group Award must include a project that is worked on over a period of three to six months.

There are three awards to be completed in association with other sections of your Groups.

All Scout work that a Scout does can be cross referenced across the different types of badges. Therefore a Scout could be doing work for more than one badge at the same time. i.e. doing work on a Challenge badge but the same work could qualify for part of an activity badge. This helps to stop work being duplicated, and also helps the scouts progress quicker through their badge work.
